Background & Process

Miah Ariel (she/they) is a digital designer specializing in UX/UI, Interaction, and Product Design. Her work unites a background in fine art, critical theory, and education with applied science and human-centered design thinking.
Miah’s process encompasses the entire UX lifecycle from ideation through research, prototyping, and pixel perfect visual design. She has delivered user experiences across a range of products such as B2B inventory management, SaaS products, eCommerce optimization, mobile app & responsive web products, and first-of-their-kind health care innovations. She is passionate about contributing to projects that require serious problem solving, out-of-the-box-thinking, thorough UX process, and have the potential to elevate individual & community well-being.
Miah received her BA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Visual & Critical Studies and holds a certificate in User Experience Design from General Assembly in San Francisco. Previously, She was the lead designer at Bold Ubiquitous Digital and a key member of the design team at Greenbits, where she captained the development of new design systems, branding overhauls, and internal training documents that streamlined product development at the highest level.
Miah is currently contracting, and is open to full-time or contract positions with companies dedicated to social change & equity, sustainability, new frontiers in technology, and arts & culture. She is based between Oakland, California and Miami, Florida.
